Montreal Canadiens vs. Washington Capitals
Jakub Dobes got the start as Sam Montembeault was out due to injury and of course it was Alex Ovechkin who beat him half way through the first period to give Washington the lead. The Canadiens were physical all game and did not back down from the physicality the Caps were able to bring. Ultimately, the Capitals were able to take advantage on the man advantage by getting two power play goals and take the series. The Canadiens will learn a lot from this playoff run and be much better in the long run because of this season. In the meantime, the Capitals advance to take on the Carolina Hurricanes who defeated the Devils in their series the prior night.
