Florida Panthers vs. Tampa Bay Lightning
The Panthers were without Aaron Ekblad again as he was serving the first of his two game suspension and the team came out and played like they had without him early in the series. Despite the Lightning getting the lead just minutes into the first period, the Panthers knew their mission of putting the Lightning away and giving themselves extra time to wait for the winner of the Maple Leafs and Senators series. The offense for the Lightning completely disappeared as only Ryan McDonah, Erik Cernak, and Victor Hedman had three or more shots on goal all game. Cirelli, Guentzel, Kucherov, Point, Gourde, and Hagel all combined for four shots total with Gourde and Hagel not registering any. The Panthers were able to put the series away and now the Lightning have a lot of questions to answer going forward.
